Obviously, just getting a short walk each day is also a good idea.

You may choose to order your list according to category just like meat, product and dairy. Simply shop down the list from here. You could end up making many trips back and forth across the store, but it is a great way to grow your step count. Instead of getting a mail box in your door or attached to the house, mount it on a post near to the curb. This ensures that the basic act of checking the mailbox can add one or two dozen steps each day.
