Most people once in their life will experience the annoyance of getting a pimple, wherever the pimples decide to reside it can be very embarrassing especially at a young age. But why do we get pimples?
Pimples occur when sebum and dead skin cells get trapped in our hair follicles, when the hair follicle is blocked the body tries to fight against the trapped substances which results in an infection. When you eat food that has a high fat content it makes you digestive sluggish and slow, when your digestive system gets this way it creates toxins, these toxins then try to escape your body. The best way to escape is through the skin, this then creates bacteria in the skin resulting in pimples. Eating food such as meat could be replaced with oily fish, eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. Take fruit as a snack instead of chips or chocolate. These are quite simple rules that you can apply in your everyday life and most of us know how to eat correctly we just don't want to do it because it doesn't taste as good. Try to be adventurous with your food and you will start to like different kinds of foods and expand your diet.
Another reason you might get acne is because of hormones, we get a big hormonal imbalance when we are growing up as a teenager, it is very common to experience pimples at this stag in our life. Usually after your teenage years pimples start to go away, but not for everyone. Some people still suffer into adult hood and women often suffer around the time of menstruation and whilst pregnant, this is because of hormonal imbalance.
