Be aware that caffeine and alcohol can both deplete your magnesium level. You also need to avoid exposure to loud noises.

Turn down the volume wherever you can, especially if listening to music on head phones. If you have to work with noisy equipment, make sure you wear ear protection. Some people monitor what they eat to see if there is any link between their diets and hearing problems.
