Those that had paralysis of the diaphragm were most likely to die, as it stopped the victim from breathing. In 1927, a machine called the "iron lung" was invented. Those stricken with paralysis of the diaphragm were placed in these machines to force breathing.

We now know that there are cures for many of the diseases that are considered to be non-curable. If you go to Europe or Asia - you will find many of these diseases being cured. Currently, there is no specific known cause that is thought to trigger type 1 diabetes in individuals. It is believed that type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition, where the body begins to attack itself, however the reason or the cause is still unknown.

The best way to treat a measles rash is to use a cortisone cream or calamine lotion to relieve itching. Ibuprofen or aspirin may be taken to reduce fever along with plenty of fluids and bed rest. There is no actual cure but it can be prevented with a vaccine. The Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccine can be given to children as young a one year.
