Selling Online - the A, B, C, D of Affiliate Marketing
For those of you who might be interested in trying to earn some or all of your future income online, I'm going to give you a very brief outline of the theory of how affiliate marketing works.
Maybe you have heard all this before, but maybe you haven't. So, if not, here's the lowdown.
The concept is simplicity itself, however, the successful implementation thereof not so much.
Here goes. Seller A makes a product B. Buyer C wants product B but doesn't know exactly where to find it. Affiliate D (that's you) helps buyer C find product B from seller A. Got it?
That's all there is to it. So the plan now is to figure out how you can get to be affiliate D. Because, you see, it is affiliate D who earns a commission from seller A when buyer C buys product B. Got it again?
I figured if I added a little levity to the process of affiliate marketing that it might not seem quite so complicated.
Now, other things do get added to the mix, but they are usually to facilitate transactions between the buyer and seller. For example payment processors can be found online, just the same as at the store when you buy something. You might use your credit card, or your debit card instead of cash at the store.
And since it is impossible to pay using real cash online, a payment processor makes life easy and facilitates a purchase.
But before you get quite this far, you will need to learn how all this works in detail.
