Scabies is a skin infection that is caused by mites. These scabies mites burrow just under the surface of your skin and lay their eggs. As a result, your skin will feel very itchy and you will also have red bumps or blisters on the skin. These are some of the most common scabies symptoms. Scabies is quite a common disease, especially in places like living facilities that are shared by many people. Scabies can also be found in hospitals, dormitories and even nursing homes.

Scabies is better known as "the itch" which is a very contagious and common skin problem which looks like a rash with itchy bumps and lesions on the outer layer of the skins surface. This itch has another nickname "the 7 year itch", because it has been known to last as long as 7 years. The longer you have scabies the longer it takes to cure scabies, so you should look into treatments as soon as possible to stop the infestation.

Scabies epidemics are very common in overcrowded orphanages, kindergartens, schools and hospitals. During scabies outbreaks, everyone should follow an appropriate treatment in order to prevent the occurrence of the disease.

Blisters and pustules are symptoms of scabies common in small children. They are usually accompanied by rash and itch.

Scabies is a very common condition and it can be developed by anyone. Scabies is an infection of the skin that causes bumps, nodules or blisters due to infestation with tiny mites. The common signs of scabies are inflammation, itching, rash and the presence of tiny burrows on the surface of the skin.

At the first signs of scabies, try disinfecting all the clothes and bed linens and try a bath with some sulfur or borax. If the danger of having scabies still exists, call your doctor. He/ she will give you a lotion against scabies. This lotion must be applied on the body from the neck down. Be very careful to read the instructions well before using the scabies treatment.

The treatment for scabies is not very difficult and expensive. Scabies are treated by lotions or creams that are applied to the skin. Those ointments for scabies contain lindane or crotamiton. To buy such treatment for scabies you need a prescription from the doctor.

So with all this information becoming available about all these scabies treatment protocols, it is no wonder why people are turning to home cures for scabies that involve simple things they already have within their homes.

Scabies natural treatments seem to be very well tolerated by the skin. Although natural treatments may need to be applied for longer periods of time to successfully eradicate the parasite mites, they are milder to the skin. Synthetic, medications usually eradicate the mites in only a few days, but sometimes aggravate the symptoms of scabies on the duration of the treatment.

The cause of scabies are ectoparasites, which can also cause pediculosis. The patients who suffer from scabies suffer from intense itching, due to this skin disease. People who are mot are risk of developing scabies are those who do not wash very often or change their clothes.

The main cause of scabies in people is contamination with a particular type of mite, called Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. This microscopic mite lives only on the bodies of human hosts and an infected person can spread it to hundreds of other persons.

The proper scabies treatment is with creams, lotions and medication to relief you from the itching sensation that accompanies scabies. The most common scabies medication is permethrin cream. This cream kills scabies mites. It must be applied on all the body parts that are affected by scabies and left on for more than 12 hours. The best time to apply the scabies cream is at night, just before going to bed.

The scabies treatment should be followed by all the people who entered in contact with the contaminated person, even if they don't show any signs of the condition yet. These actions are very important in preventing the spreading of the mites to other people.

Another symptom of scabies is the formation of nodules on the skin. These nodules can be painful and they also persist for long periods of time. Nodules are a very suggestive symptom of scabies.

The most prominent symptom of scabies is intense itching particularly at night. The scabies mite is an obligate parasite and completes its entire life cycle on humans. Other variants of the scabies mite can cause infestation in other mammals such as dogs, cats, pigs, ferrets, and horses, and these variants can infest human skin as well.
