Reducing Facial Wrinkles From Aging

Some of the dermal fillers on the market include Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse and Sculptra.

Various laser resurfacingmethods are also used to help patients decrease facial wrinkles. Ablative laser resurfacing produces a controlled damage to the outer surfaces of skin in order for the skin to heal smoother and with better texture. Non-ablative resurfacing functions to enhance the growth of collagen in the skin to achieve firmer, more youthful looking skin. Interested patients should consult with a doctor to learn more about ablative therapies and non-ablative therapies.

Prior to the treatment, patients should consult a physician to learn about the potential drawbacks and risks linked with it. Certain complications may arise out of poor injection or improper technique, so it is important that patients locate a reputable clinic that is equipped with all of the proper equipment. Results of each treatment may vary from patient to patient so consulting with an experienced physician is important in determining realistic expectations.
