Profit Bank
Okay, when I first heard about the new software called ProfitBank I was a little skeptical about it. I have to admit that I have been around the block with creating websites, hosting, and marketing products and services from myself and others online.
I was a heavy online advertiser years ago and even did e-commerce stuff through E-bay and Amazon for a while back in early 2002-2007. Like most people in the e-commerce business, I was pretty much forced to shut down because I was not making any money on my products or shipping. I did have a niche market of electronics and to tell you the truth, Circuit City could not even do it correct when they went bankrupt and had a share price on the stock exchange of pennies on the dollar in 2008. When I started my e-store back in 02' I did break even after one year in the game.
I just could not compete with the heavy hitters who had such large purchasing power and warehouses like Wal-Mart. I decided that I did not want to go bankrupt and closed down everything, even my actually on ground small business located in my town. I just could not take the stress!
I then did not know what to do and ended up going back to school at my local community college taking night classes and working full time during the day. Now remember, this was after I stopped doing marketing and e-commerce for myself. Before going back to school I even tried the ad-words and affiliate marketing thing. I did okay with the ad-words until I just could not compete with bids on my keywords and did make some money with affiliate marketing. I ended up going to book stores like Boarder's reading everything I could to get my hands on about web site creation, Java, C++, HTML, and marketing.
When I look back I probably spent thousands of hours late at night burning the midnight oil. My priority was school work for college and then trying to teach myself to create websites with out the pre-made templates and Web 2.0 stuff like today making things so much easier.
