Just a Few Benefits of Aerobic Exercise
As we watch the world around us get fatter, our children larger, and food and weight related health problems skyrocket, it's easy to see that we're in trouble.
People didn't used to have to â¬Åworkout. They got enough exercise going about the duties of their day to burn off the calories that they ate. The portions were smaller and the food healthier. While it's nice to think about the good old days, we need to snap back into reality and concentrate on these very real problems going on around us.
Somewhere along the way, people started forgetting that their personal actions affect the world around them. A new awareness has finally started to creep back in, and with it extremely effective messages. The benefits of aerobics are just one of millions.
Aerobics doesn't necessarily have to occur in a classroom setting, or with any guidance whatsoever. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator is aerobic activity. Granted, it doesn't really count as â¬Ëexercise' because you aren't sustaining the activity. Being able to do even a little exercise anywhere is just one of the many benefits of aerobics.
There are also the physical benefits of aerobics as well. Besides getting fitter, aerobic exercise also strengthens the heart and lungs. It provides fresh oxygen to your blood, which not only stimulates healing, but stimulates the brain. Our brains depend on a constant supply of fresh oxygen to function properly. People that do aerobic exercise tend to be more alert, sharper, and able to make good decisions quickly.
Before you begin any workout program or aerobic exercise, talk to your doctor. They will best be able to advise you which activities are best for your body right now, and offer some suggestions on how to work out safely.
