Information on Anti Aging Procedures
Sometimes people feel that drastic measures are needed to combat the effects of aging, and they start to consider facial surgery as an option. Below are some example procedures for your information.
Neck Liposuction: A cut is made under the chin, and the fat is sucked out to help make the contours of the face more firmer. This will remove jowls, and help to improve the look of the jawline. However, if you have quite loose skin, then this procedure may not work too well, as it can leave you with excess sagging flesh. The older or more overweight you are, the less chance there is of your skin springing back into shape.
Rhinoplasty: Prominent noses can make you look older, and also as your face thins and skin starts to sag, this can cause your nose to appear bigger than what it actually is. The rhinoplasty procedure breaks your nose in four places, and the bone and cartilage is filed to reshape the bridge of your nose. Also, the cartilage round the nostrils can be moved to reshape the nose tip. There can be a little scarring depending on the amount of surgery, and it will be about three months before all the swelling subsides.
Neck Lift: This procedure is great for tightening the skin around the cheek area and neck. Cuts are made around the ears and the skin is pulled tight to make any lines smoother. This is usually a two hour operation and will involve a stay overnight in the hospital. It normally takes about a month to recover, however, the scarring may not fade for about two years.
Face Lift: Any loose skin and muscles on the face, mouth corners and neck are pulled back to create a younger, less saggy look. Cuts are made around the back of the ear and the bone behind. If done correctly, this procedure can take years off your appearance, but it can be a complicated procedure with side effects, such as blood clots and facial nerve injury.
