Grassroots Innovator Becoming Entrepreneur with Paddy Thresher
Farmers have a number of options to thresh their paddy crop. In India, mostly they follow any of the two traditional methods - either beat the crop or let animals go round on them to separate the grains out of the stalks but these methods use to spoil the stalks also. Even some multipurpose threshers available in the market thresh the crop after cutting them into pieces. Mr. Fazlul Haque from Assam, India a farmer turned innovator, has developed an innovative paddy thresher. This grassroots innovation fulfils the need of a thresher which doesn't spoil the stalks and so retains their nutritional value to a large extent.
Features and advantages of the paddy thresher
