Buggy Envy Has Its Uses
Ok, I'm an addict and I freely admit it - I just can't stop checking out other people's pushchairs, buggies and prams! Ever since I first got pregnant my obsession has grown and grown, at first I was looking for ideas, but now it's pure buggy envy!
I love my pushchair, it's great - it works well for me and my family and it looks pretty good too - but there are so many amazing buggies out there now when you're trying to pick the right one, it's a major challenge. Buying a pram is such a big decision and an investment, you don't want to make the wrong choice and be stuck with a pushchair that's more of a hindrance than a help. Make the wrong decision and you'll seriously regret it after battling with your pram for the twentieth time in a week.
It is hard though to know what makes a good buggy, if you're an expectant mum for the first time; you don't know exactly what you're looking for. It's all very well to look at the weight, dimensions and design features of pushchair, and you do need to consider all these things carefully, but that doesn't tell you everything you need to know. It's the little niggles that will make you want to throw your pushchair off the nearest bridge - is the rain cover easy to attach; can you fit your bags in the shopping basket? If not you're going to come to despise your pram, after a while!
So buggy envy isn't really a bad thing, after all the best way to find a good pushchair or buggy is to see what other people think and nothing speaks louder than action - seeing what models other people have bought does give you a good idea of the best pushchairs and buggies out there. Checking out lots of reviews is another invaluable way to find the best pram for you and your new baby. Finding out what other parents think about their pushchairs, gives you the insider-track on the most practical pushchairs around. New mums don't pull their punches, if they think something is useless they'll say so (a year of sleep depravation can make you a tiny bit less diplomatic...) and listening to this advice could save you money and hassle.
