The bride trousseau is made more than just ethnic wear. Indian bride's wear constitutes of saris, lehengas and suits while western brides wear white gowns. Being a bride doesn't mean to carry more jewelry or heavy ethnic wear.
Types of bridal wear
Saris are essential part of Indian bride. Silk and Kanjivarams saris are the popular choice among brides. Lehengas are also a part of bridal ethnic wear. They are fond in three types lancha, ghaghra-chunni and shararas. Every community has its own ethnic wear. Shararas are basically wearer by Muslim community. Punjabis prefer lehengas or sarees which come in embroidery or printed form, Kashmiris prefer tight trousers with heavy kurtas. Bengali opts for Banarsi silk.
Gowns are ethnic wear for brides in west. Beautiful and flawless white gowns are still wearing by many brides as it is an old saying that Married in white, you have chosen all right.' Cream, yellow, pink and blue gowns are also in fashion. Latest trends in gowns are hour glass shaped dresses and off shoulder providing a full neckline. A-line dresses that are long and slimming give a great look.
Choosing jewelry is not a big thing. If you are going to wear a bridal dress with heavy work then opt for light jewelry and vice-versa. Don't go for matching color everytime; rather try jewels which complements your dress.
Take care while choosing bag because it may spoil your outfit. Never try big black leather bag. Small handy with some golden or colorful work matching your dress will be good choice.
Hair dressing is the prominent thing in bridal accessories. Hair pins made of pearls gives elegant and beautiful look. Hair combs or crowns made of gems like emerald looks fabulous.
