Indigestion or acid reflux is another word for Heartburn. A major symptom of heartburn is also called Gastro esophageal reflux disease and also could become chronic. Whenever chest pain is involved it is best to use caution. Some people have confused the early symptoms of a heart attack with a heart burn symptom. Delaying seeking medical attention can be deadly. There are some people who experience pain after eating. In most cases, this occurs due to gastroesophageal reflux disease, also known as GERD. Here, the acids from the stomach move backwards into the esophagus causing heartburn.

As far as the heart burn is concerned, let me tell you that heart burn is one of the things which are quite harmful for the body. In fact it is the sensation in the chest when the stomach acids just returns back and join the esophagus. If your heart burn symptoms are the more common type, you are not alone. Many people, particularly in the Western world suffer from heart burn symptoms everyday. Lifestyle, the foods we eat and obesity can all lead to heart burn symptoms. At the base of your esophagus, there is a ring-like muscle that is called the lower esophageal sphincter, or LES. Normally, this muscle relaxes to allow food to move from your esophagus into your stomach, where it is digested by your stomach acids.

You cannot really say that it is the chest pain or the heart attack. It is certainly quite important. However it is certainly very hard to find out that the heart burn is due to the normal reason or it is some thing else. The smaller meals reduce the pressure on the lower esophagus which helps to prevent the valve from opening and allowing acid to rush back. The person should also try to stay well hydrated by drinking lots of water at regular intervals. Heartburn pain can be mistaken for the pain associated with heart disease or a heart attack, but there are differences. Acid reflux disease can cause a number of symptoms in addition to heartburn, including: Regurgitation, a bitter or sour taste at the back of your throat, belching, bloating and early satiety (feeling full too soon).

A Heartburn Natural Remedy would be to avoid the foods which gave you the heartburn in the first place. Some people are more suspect to certain food than others and it would be wise to learn which ones you should avoid. Heartburn Foods To Avoid would start first and foremost of smaller amounts of food more often and more slowly. If stress triggers heartburn, rest before meals. Over the counter heart burn remedies include antacid products like Tums or Rolaids. There are other products that will relieve gas and bloating. Calcium carbonate is usually effective for neutralizing the stomach acid, but may leave a chalky taste in the mouth.

Before you can learn how to stop heart burn, you will probably want to learn what causes the symptoms of heart burn in the first place. The symptoms of heart burn are caused by stomach acid leaking into the lower throat or esophagus. Foods that are acidic then naturally will lead to more symptoms of heart burn.
